I have a friend named Dom who I was in first grade with and I remember 2 things about her from back then. 2) She wore this awesome purple puffy 80’s jacket and 2) She fell asleep in class once and the teacher let her sleep through recess. Our teacher said, “She’s tired so I’ll let her sleep.” but I was like, “This is a travesty! Clearly this injustice is some sort of punishment that she cannot partake in the joys of recess!”….
Actually I probably said, “Look, I has shoes!”
Anyways, years later Dom hit me up and asked me to draw a pirate owl for a tattoo she wanted. I did and she got it and it was friggin’ awesome.
Years later (and a month or so ago) Torrid wanted a pirate owl for some underwear and I knew I had to use the same owl. So I did. And now that silly owl my friend wanted is also a silly owl that we printed on some hilarious chonies.
Anyhow, thanks again Dom! Everybody, thank my friend for making these fanny-wrappers a reality!
