It is always awesome when a previously unreleased (but still great) shirt gets picked up by a large retailer like Hot Topic letting the whole world enjoy it’s splendor! Thus is the case for our ‘Tribute’ shirt. Although it’s been in our roster for some time, it just didn’t get it’s time to shine, that is until now:
Equal parts parody and serious, it’s difficult to tell with our Tribute Tee if we are poking fun at a genre or embracing it with one of those uncomfortably long bear hugs, you know the kind where we lay our head on your shoulder and close our eyes and grin cheesily while you just stand there, looking at your watch and rolling your eyes. Well, it’s both. Think about how Tenacious D parodied a metal band, but did it with so much love for the music. That’s what we’ve done here. Speaking of TenD, that’s also where we got the idea to do a TRIBUTE shirt to the best shirt in the world. But enough about heavy metal tribute shirts. What else does Hot Topic have? Oh, just a couple things of ours. Like our Poe Knows Ravens hoodie, for our big Lit. fans. Or how about our Bacon hoodie, for our meat loving friends. Then for the ladies there’s our Periodic Table of Nerdy Love tee and our Freaking Rawrsome tee too. Epic wins to be had by all.
